Burgerac's Burgershack at The Social

Burgerac

YES! I'm rather delighted to say that my Burgershack operation (now rebranded as Burgerac's Burgershack with a killer new graphic identity by Crispin Finn is about to launch a second operation - at Heavenly Recordings' legendary Fitzrovia bar and music venue, The Social, on Little Portland Street...

I can't tell you how excited I am about this. I ran a monthly club night called Get Involved at The Social for three years between 2006 and 2009 and love the place. The interior of the bar has long been top of my list of stylistic references for "what my dream burger joint interior would look like".

The menu won't be as extensive as the one at The Royal Oak in Marylebone but we will be running specials regularly and changing things up as we bed in to our second home.

We'll be having a very informal (and doubtlessly chaotic) launch party this Friday 29 April where we'll be giving out some burgers and fries. I'll be spinning records in the ground floor bar and the Heavenly Jukebox DJs will be in full effect downstairs.

We'll be opening properly with menus on tables on Tuesday 3rd May at 12:30pm for lunch. Here's Hot Dinners' news piece on the opening:

Come and see us soon - and in the meantime, check out our new graphic identity, menu designs and website over at...

Burgershack film by FOODIEHUB

Burgerac

The discerning folk at FOODIEHUB got in touch to ask if they could interview me and make a short film about Burgershack. Of course I said yes. If you don't know already, FOODIEHUB is an online food channel, populated with content by an ever-growing global network of food experts, bloggers and enthusiasts. Essentially, they're crusaders, flying the flag and fighting the good fight for super awesome eats, looking to celebrate and promote the people and products they believe in. To say I'm hugely honoured to be approached by them is pretty much the understatement of the decade. Thanks you guys!
